Ammonia Slip Mitigation
Coal plants use technologies to lower nitrogen oxide emissions that can leave excess ammonia on coal ash after combustion. Eco Material Technologies’ Ammonia Slip Mitigation technology eliminates this condition—which can create plant maintenance and operational issues—by injecting oxidizers that convert the ammonia to harmless compounds.
Engineered Materials
Celceram® PV20A is particle size-optimized fly ash for applications as functional filler in polyolefin, PVC, asphalt, reactive polyurethane, SBR, and latex-based chemistries. The unique particle size distribution contributes to an improved packing factor, permitting Celceram® PV20A to be loaded to higher levels compared to traditional fillers while maintaining or improving the physical characteristics of the finished polymer system.
Fly Ash
Eco Material Technologies is a major source of the most commonly used pozzolan, fly ash. Produced from the combustion of coal in power generating plants, fly ash aids in the formation of cementitious compounds to enhance the strength, impermeability and durability of concrete.
Green Cement LLC
Proprietary technology allows Eco Material Technologies to utilize fly ash and other pozzolanic materials in the manufacture of products that can replace 50-100% of the portland cement typically used to produce high-strength, durable concrete. Because these Green Cement LLC products—PozzoSlag®, PozzoCem®, and PozzoCem Vite®—can be made at room temperature with virtually no emissions, they are sustainable, near-zero-carbon cement replacements.
RestoreAir®
The presence of activated carbon in fly ash can interfere with fresh concrete’s ability to entrain the desired amount of air. Eco Material Technologies’ RestoreAir® process uses a liquid reagent to pre-treat fly ash, before delivery to customers, to neutralize activated carbon’s air entrainment.
Road Construction Materials
Eco Material Technologies’ road materials offer cost-effective alternatives and performance advantages to conventional road and highway construction and repair materials. We have more than 40 years of experience working with coal combustion products from coal-fired power generating plants to develop products targeted to road applications.
