Eco Material Technologies Road Materials offer cost-effective alternatives and performance advantages to conventional road and highway construction and repair materials. We have more than 40 years of experience working with coal combustion products (CCPs) from coal-fueled power generating plants to develop products targeted to road applications. In addition, we have participated in numerous industry studies and various DOT research projects concerning materials for road stabilization and construction.

Eco Material RoadMix Base®

This combination of bottom ash and pelletized high calcium fly ash is produced in a patented process using a MACS machine. The product provides high durability as a semi-rigid, non-plastic road base material. Its stability also makes it very effective in certain fills and beneath construction slabs.

Intrix®

Eco Material worked with the National Center for Asphalt Technology during rigorous testing of fly ash as mineral filler in Stone Matrix Asphalt (SMA). Intrix® filler meets specifications for pavement design and is now being used in SMA projects. It plays a crucial role in SMA by filling voids and achieving the desired stiffness in the asphalt.

Eco Material Durabase™

Eco Material’s Durabase™ technology is the product of more than 20 years’ experience using high-calcium fly ash for both roadbed and waste stabilization projects. Contractors can call on our extensive experience for help in properly utilizing this product in specific applications.

MACS-ASH®

This pelletized high calcium fly ash is an alternative to Eco Material’s Durabase™ technology for roadbed and waste stabilization projects where dust reduction is of paramount concern.

Stabil-Mix®

The Stabil-Mix® homogeneous combination of fly ash and lime is ideal for stabilizing low-clay, high-silt soils with plasticity indices between 10 and 20. Thoroughly blended, this product reduces the time normally required for separate lime and fly ash applications and often does not require a waiting period for remix or processing.

Eco Material StabiLyte

Eco Material’s StabiLyte, a coal combustion product, has cementitious binding properties that make it effective in soil stabilizing applications. It is versatile enough to be used in a broad range of soil types and is a valuable component at any road building or construction site.

Pozzolanic Cement

Whether it’s new construction, resurfacing, or patching older work, Eco Material’s pozzolanic cement can become an integral component in reaching a solution for various pavement needs. Concrete made with Eco Material’s pozzolanic cement requires fewer chemicals, little to no finish grinding, and leads to a more durable road surface.
